GOTE…The Youth Group and their families are invited to go out to eat after Sunday School this morning at the Arby’s in the Oxford Exchange

Attention Officers…There is a Stated Meeting this Tuesday, July 27, at 6:30 p.m. in the Yellow Room.

Paintball anyone??? It's never a good plan to arm teen-agers and permit them to shoot at you, but that's exactly what we have in store this Thursday, July 29th, at Shocco Springs!  Hopefully some of our more expert warriors (Charlie Ping, David Miller, etc!) can make it out to teach these youngsters a thing or two as well!  We’ll meet at the church at 7:30 a.m.  All participants need to fill out a waiver and release form, available in the church office.  Cost is $26.00, make checks payable to FPC, plus money for lunch on the trip home.  Let Lauren Davis know if you plan on going (601-941-9299).

Frappes & Friends…The Youth Group will meet at Camp Lee on Friday, August 6 at 6:00 p.m., for one last event before the new school year begins. Wear your bathing suit and bring a change of clothes.  We’ll be doing the zip line and the natural rock slide.

Faith Presbyterian Youth Saturday Soccer League…Mark your calendar and set aside Saturday, August 7, for FPYSSL Skills Day.  Registration forms for FPYSSL are available in the church office. Pre-registration is appreciated

Sunday School New Quarter…Sunday School classes have resumed.  Join us this quarter as we focus on worship/doctrine by studying The Apostles’ Creed.

The College & Career Small Group...meets on Tuesday evenings this summer. We are studying spiritual disciplines such as:  Confession, Fasting, Meditation, Prayer, and Worship.  Come join us as we learn to seek God and to do His will through a variety of spiritual disciplines that have been practiced by Christians throughout time and around the world.  We will meet this week at 6:30 pm at the McDaniel’s house.

IGNITE Calhoun County…Several  pastors in the area have been meeting together and praying that God would build the unity of His Church in Calhoun County through periodically serving the people in our community in various ways.   We're calling our group "IGNITE Calhoun County," and crafting our strategies based on a model taught by Perimeter Church in Georgia.  Our first "Big Serve" day will be held on Saturday, August 14.  We will target 5-10 local ministries to serve.  The following Sunday afternoon, August 15, we will have a joint worship service in order to thank God for moving in our hearts to display His heart to our community and to encourage one another.  During July, people from our churches are being asked to sign up in order to participate in the "Big Serve."  Look for the sign up sheets in the narthex.  More details to follow.
